- I’ve taken a bunch of acting classes, but I can’t seem to break in the door to FINALLY START WORKING

I GET IT.
When I was starting out in the industry, I was very resistant to the idea of branding since I was taught to "stretch" my emotional range in class and showcase how different I can be from who I really am.
I was trying to hide my background, accent and unique strengths to "blend in with Americans". I mean I was wearing a cowboy hat in my first headshot session, like whaaat? After stepping into the real world and hitting a wall, I stopped blaming my saturated category (20s, white, non union, no TV credits) and started paying attention to the constant "show us who you are" feedback from casting. I told myself that it's time to embrace and define my unique voice. After many ups and downs, I was able to develop a process that helped me identify my brand and authentically position it to the decision makers. And what do you know? I finally broke into TV and booked 6 major TV projects, got in the union and built a full team of reps in all major markets! Now I get to share that same framework with actors from all over that just like me, went from a blank resume to 'holy sh*t I am on my dream show!
